I asked about PCB becouse I did PCB to v1 yesterday. But now I think about version 2, it looks much better and price of colour LCD from siemens and 2 pcs. LCD 2x20 lines should be comparable. To do v1 or wait for v2 that is the question Cool .
If you have any test version I am ready do and test it.

It is reallly completly different cuircuit. It looks wery interesting. Only MAX232 and speaker are the same Shocked
I don't see any buttons. Will buttons be conected to P1, P2, P3 ?
What will be conected to small relay (U3)? Are you going to add any special functions Very Happy ?
In my opinion you should add some 100n capacitors between + and GND near IC power pins to protect against interferences.

It's only LCD part.
P1,P2,P3 - buttons
RS1,RS2 - to RS232 interface from/to this circuit http://www.softservice.com.pl/corolla/avc/obd-2.png
GND - gnd Smile
+12 - from ACC
I have buttons part already mounted in the car.
The ODB-to-RS is a standalone connector - you can use it for this LCD display, but is ready for connect to laptop etc. also.

Yes, you have right, but it's working without caps too.

Thank you for information. It is a good idea to add automatic light on.
When you will be ready with this project? I am wery interested in This v2 version.

Unfortunately I have some problems with ELM323. I ordered ELM and OBD connector in INFOCAR on monday. They send me only connector and small piece of paper with information: ELM323 is not available and will not be available in future Sad . And now I have OBD connector and PCB without ELM. Have you any idea where can I buy it, or do you have extra ELM in your spare parts Question
What do you think about this interface: http://www.allegro.pl/item199829052_inter_vag_we_wtyku_obd2_z_2_liniami_k_kkl_promcja_.html
Can I use it insteed ELM323?

Marcin,

I noticed in the pictures, that you are using the famous iron-on technique for making PCB's. What brand of paper are you using ?

I use kodak photo paper, but is sticks very hard to the dye, and is hard to remove on the component side.

Thanx,

Kapabay

It's a chalk paper ( cretaceous ) and print is on old LaserJet 4MP printer.

Some example (polish lang.)

Hello there

Very interesting stuff you got there, i'm wondering if there are sensors in the fuel tank that measure fuel and if we could make a remaining fuel/Km entry in the LCD
